Key Idea: Conventional Dating is not a reliable way of evaluating character

I believe that conventional dating is an unreliable way of evaluating someone’s true character before marriage. This is because everyone will obviously be on their best behaviour. Furthermore, the dynamics of dating encourage emotional intimacy and sexual feelings. I believe that these things are premature until outstanding character from both spouses has been confirmed.
So this is what I encourage instead: Take two full years to simply watch potential spouses in a non-romantic environment. Thoroughly check out who this person is first, before putting yourself in an emotionally vulnerable position with them. And only proceed with a relationship etc if the person in question is truly outstanding.
