In fact, it is mutual commitment to outstanding character (NOT “love”) that will give you a “loving” marriage.

The idea of “love” as it is usually sold to us, based as it is on feelings, is a complete red herring, an absolute lie.
The only understanding of love worth basing your life and marriage on is the understanding of love that the Bible gives us (1 Corinthians 13): Love is character. “Love is patient”=character “Love is kind”=character
The lie is that “feelings” will automatically create excellent character and behaviour towards your spouse. Example after example on social media of women crying about their marriages tell us that this is a big fat lie.

So if you’re looking for “true love”, what you actually need to look for is outstanding character. Trust me.
